COLORFULDREAMS

“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.” ― Audre Lorde

MY EXPERIENCE

As the founder of a youth mentorship nonprofit organization and a dedicated volunteer with a passion for giving back to homeless veterans, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of service and leadership. Through my experiences, I have grown personally and professionally, developing a unique set of skills and perspectives that have prepared me for success in all areas of life.

Throughout my journey, I have learned the importance of resilience, determination, and hard work. Starting and growing a nonprofit organization requires much dedication and effort, and I have had to navigate many challenges. However, from fundraising and marketing to recruiting and training volunteers, I have honed my abilities to multitask, problem-solve, and collaborate with others to achieve our shared goals.

In addition to my work with the youth mentorship nonprofit, my volunteerism with homeless veterans has taught me valuable lessons about compassion, empathy, and human connection. It has been advantageous to work with individuals who have sacrificed so much for our country and to help provide them with the support and resources they need to succeed in their post-military lives.

Overall, I am proud of my growth and progress through my experiences as a student founder and volunteer. These opportunities have shaped me into a more compassionate, resilient, and capable individual. I am excited to continue using my skills and talents to positively impact my community and beyond.
